Thanks for visiting my fitness blog. My name is Darren and I created this fitness blog to help people transform their bodies to get the lean look that they have always wanted.
This blog is here to show people how to get the lean look that your favourite actors and actresses have. If you are looking to become a bodybuilder or powerlifter then most of the information here won’t be for you.
Who am I?
I’m a father of 3 boys ages 1,3 and 5 (see pic). I’ve been married for 7 years now (wow that’s a long time), and I’m 34 years young. We live in Ontario Canada.
I like to keep things simple and to the point. I like my workouts to be1hour or less and diets that fit my busy family lifestyle. I also play rec hockey in the winter to stay in shape and have fun doing it. Don’t hate me for this but I’m a Leafs fan.
I’m always busy with work, sleeping, blogging, the family, sports and yet I still have time to watch some TV as well. My favourite shows include, survivor, big brother, amazing race, big bang theory, two and a half men, two broke girls, 90210 and gossip girl (please don’t laugh… it keeps me in tune with the younger generation and makes me feel younger J).
My favourite music is anything that gets me moving. Usually listen dance music like tiesto, cascada, david guetta or anything top 40.
My favourite foods are cookies, cake, peanut butter, chocolate and ice cream. I also like the ocassional drink. What fitness guy is going to tell you that.. LOL. I still get to eat these and stay lean. Even though my metabolism isn’t what it used to be.
Why should you listen to me?
Well my kids don’t listen to me so my expectations are low. I’ve been working out since I was 14, so around 20 years now. I’ve used various workout methods such as cardio machine workouts, weight training, rowing, TRX training, kettlebells, bodyweight workouts, circuit training and countless others.
Some of the programs that I have used include Visual Impact Muscle Building and Cardio, Turbulence Training, Tae bo, P90X, Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle, Truth About Abs and many more to come. I’m a believer that you should be changing up your workouts every 4-6 weeks to get best results.
I’ve done it!
You will find fitness websites on the net that are run by people that don’t have a clue or haven’t done it themselves. I’ve actually transformed my body. Even though it doesn’t look like I lost that much weight, the fact is that the last pounds are the hardest to lose. If you have a lot to lose then the weight should start melting off fast and taper down as you start to get leaner.

Well I don’t have any professional experience; I’m not a doctor, personal trainer or strength coach. I’m just the average fitness enthusiast. Some people may think of this as a reason not to listen to me. I think that this is actually an advantage.
I’m not bias. Some people will only push their own program. I don’t have one to do that with. There are many workouts and diets available that can give you the knowledge you need to transform your body. There are always new programs being released every day so it’s hard for the average person to keep up. I have many friends that are fitness experts as well as others that are blogging like me. This helps me to see many things that are going on in the health and fitness world without having to find it all myself.
Many will work for you. You just have to choose the right one for you. If you pick something you don’t like then the chances are it won’t work for you. I’m here to help you make the right decisions that fit your lifestyle.
