Zac Efron is driving the girls wild and that is why so many guys want this look. This wasn’t the case when he was scrawny and acting in Disney’s High School Musical. Well he was driving the girls wild then but now it’s probably more women.

The Zac Efron Workout routine is the routine that turned him from scrawny to a body that guys want and girls want to be with. The look that he has is the Hollywood muscle building look that is muscular but not to the point that you would call him a bodybuilder.

Zac Efron is naturally skinny so he has a ectomorph body. Some people call this a “Hardgainer”. If you are an ectomorph like Zac then it is essential that you follow the proper routine to gain muscle which includes exercises for stimulating each muscle in your body.

The Zac Efron workout routine focuses on a three stage plan to build muscle size, create strength and make muscles harder followed by increasing muscle density. This is what gives him his muscular but lean look that drives the girls crazy.

Zac Efron Workout routine is becoming quite popular since he was second in People’s 2011 most beautiful list. You will be seeing him in several movies this year including “Liberal Arts”, “The Lucky One” and “The Paperboy”. He originally got buff from his Zac Efron workout routine that he used to get in shape for the movie “Charlie St. Cloud”. It was his first dramatic role which was touching story of love and loss but most of the accolades for the movie came from Zac sailing shirtless. That’s what drove the girls wild.

Zac Efron likes to have fun with his workouts even know they probably aren’t all fun. Zac was already in shape before he stared in Charlie St. Cloud but he still went through some pretty intense workouts training for this movie.

The Zac Efron workout for Charlie St. Cloud was created by the on set trainer Ramona Braganza who also trained his co-star Amanda Crew.

Zac Efron Workout Daily Routine

Zac’s daily workout routine started at 6am every morning before they started filming for the day. Since Zac enjoys working out he would always give 100% even if he didn’t feel his best. This Zac Efron workout was done 5 or 6 days a week and he used old school weight training so he could get some bulk.

Like most guys his favourite muscles to work are the chest and least favourite are the legs. His favourite is dips and least favourite would be lunges. The Zac Efron workout consisted of full body workouts but also focused on biceps and shoulders. They focused on these two muscles so he would be in shape for the sailing in the movie. In addition to those muscles they would also focus on the money maker…. Abs. He did some weighted abs work as well as some medicine ball exercises.

Zac Efron Diet

During his training Zac would have a meal about one and a half hours before his workout and then his post workout snack would be a protein shake or a protein bar. He was obviously eating over his maintenance level since he was focused on bulking up for his role.

Zac Efron Workout for The Paperboy

Zac was actually spotted working out for his role in “The Paperboy”. This is a intense thriller he is staring in some time in 2012. His co-stars will be Matthew McConaughey and Nicole Kidman. It is being filmed in Mandeville, Louisiana.

Zac Efron TRX Workout

I’m guessing he didn’t want to draw any attention to himself otherwise he probably would have gone to a gym for his workout. He was disguising himself with a truckers hat and sunglasses.

Zac was doing his newest Zac Efron Workout on some playground equipment with his TRX Suspension Trainer. Some people may be wondering if it indeed was TRX, Yes Zac Efron uses TRX Suspension Trainer. It looks exactly like the one I have.

I have been using the TRX Suspension Trainer myself and it is a great core workout for pretty much any of the exercises. You have to hold your body in position to use it as your weight so this causes you to engage your core for the exercises. You use a lot of smaller stabilizing muscles that you don’t end up working out with other types of exercise.

He was also using the monkey bars to do some stomach work. Leg raises are a great exercise for bulking up the abs. If you are looking to add bulk then do each of your sets to failure.

From the pictures I can see a couple of the exercises that he is doing.

  • TRX Rows while suspended from the playground equipment.
  • Dips from the playground equipment.
  • Chin Ups on the monkey bars.

The Zac Efron Workout and diet is a great plan for anyone that wants to build muscle although it does seem to be missing a lot because they haven’t revealed much about it.
